Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and TechDrops (“we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the https://techdrops.in website, progressive web app, and the TechDrops Mobile Application on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (collectively, the “Application” or “Service”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately cease using and uninstall the Application.

2. End User License Agreement (EULA) for Mobile Applications

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TechDrops grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and execute the TechDrops Mobile Application solely for your personal, non-commercial informational use on mobile devices that you own or control.

Restrictions on Use

You agree that you will NOT:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, decrypt, or attempt to derive the source code of the Application;
• Use automated bots, scrapers, crawlers, or extraction tools to harvest data from the Service without express written consent;
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based upon the Application;
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws, rules, or regulations in connection with your access to the Service;
• Use the Application to transmit any malware, viruses, trojans, or destructive code.

3. Content Aggregation & Intellectual Property Rights

TechDrops operates as a technology news aggregator and curator:

• TechDrops Branding: The TechDrops name, brand identity, logo, user interface design, styling, and software architecture are the exclusive intellectual property of TechDrops and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade dress laws.
• Third-Party Content & Attributions: News headlines, article summaries, external images, and publisher names displayed within the Application belong to their respective copyright holders (such as NewsData.io feeds, Dev.to contributors, Hacker News authors, and tech publications). TechDrops provides prominent source attribution and direct links to original publisher URLs.

4. Apple App Store & Google Play Required Provisions

In accordance with Apple and Google distribution policies, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. These Terms are concluded strictly between you and TechDrops, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. TechDrops is solely responsible for the Application and the content thereof.
2. Apple and Google have no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the TechDrops Application.
3. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple and Google will have no warranty obligations whatsoever with respect to the Application.
4. TechDrops, and not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Application, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, and intellectual property infringement claims.
5. Apple and its subsidiaries, and Google and its subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple and Google will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION AND ALL CONTENT, ARTICLES, DATA, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THEREIN ARE DELIVERED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TECHDROPS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TECHDROPS, ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE APPLICATION.

7. User Feedback & Submissions

Any ideas, suggestions, news tips, or feedback submitted through our contact forms or email become the non-confidential property of TechDrops, and we may use such feedback for service enhancements without restriction or compensation to you.

8. Termination

We reserve the right, without notice and in our sole discretion, to terminate your license to use the Application and to block or prevent your future access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to our infrastructure.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
